Your camp was fantastic! Every morning, my son woke up and said, “I can’t wait to go to camp today!” And this from a middle schooler!”
From our first year at camp we were impressed with the enthusiasm, professionalism and integrity of the EdTech staff. They went the extra mile to make sure my daughter’s movie came out just how she envisioned it. We’re back again and will see you next year too!”
EdTech was a huge help for my son’s confidence in himself and his abilities. He always loved animation, music and film, but didn’t think of himself as an artist. Now he knows he is!”

More than just tech skills…
We’ll help you develop skills that give you an edge in the world of digital
media art or in any life path you choose. That’s called, “The EdTech Edge.”
Creativity
Create every piece of your media art, whether it’s movie storyboards, video game plots or original graphic designs. We place an equal focus on the process and technique so that your final camp project won’t be your last.
Awareness
Analyze the media that exists in your world. What are the messages others are trying to convey? Are they trying to change the world? Are they trying to change your behavior? Who is their audience? How does it all relate to the message or vision you want to put out in the world?
Collaboration
Experience the process professional teams must go through to get their creations approved, funded and produced. In the real world, it takes a team to make a movie, create a fashion line, design a video game or put on a photo exhibition. In our camp world, it’s no different.
Leadership
Set goals for your team, organize your film crew and settle disputes between actors. You lead the art direction of your video game or photo exhibition and come up with your design company’s mission statement. We help guide you, but it’s your creation. You’re in charge.
- Specialization: Each week of camp focuses exclusively on the creative process of video gaming, digital photography, graphic design, animation or digital movie production. Camp EdTech offers a 1-week Studio Session to learn what’s possible and the recommended 2-week Pro Session for the most in-depth EdTech experience.
- Ratios: We maintain at most a ratio of 8:1 between our campers and staff during all tech lab time so that you know you’re getting individual attention.
- Equipment: We use high-quality equipment and age-appropriate software to create digital works of art, sure to impress your friends and family. Plus many of the skills you build will help unlock the hidden creative potential of your home computer!
- Balance: Every day we make time to hang out with our staff and your friends, away from the computers during camp huddles, outdoor recreation games and camp contests.
- Safety: CPR/First Aid certified staff members are present on-site at all times. Background checks are performed on all staff.
- Modified Activities: On rare occasions we may need to modify weekly activities due to weather, material availability and/or time constraints.
- Friends: We will do our very best to honor your “buddy requests!” However, other circumstances including age discrepancy, behavior issues and camper to staff ratios will be considered in our grouping.
- Behavior: If campers are not respectful of staff or other campers and/or compromise theirs or others safety, parents will be notified and campers may be asked to leave camp.

Need to get to work early? We understand. By 8am our staff is already hard at work helping our campers make new friends, do arts & crafts projects, play games and plan special activities that relate to our weekly themes.
Be greeted by name…with a high five…by a professional staff member…dressed in a mermaid costume or a Viking hat. In a hurry? Just pull up and we’ll open the door for you. In no rush? Park your car, come right in and shake your counselor’s fin.

Time to start art! Our arts projects complement our science experiments so campers learn a different perspective on the same great theme! Our “state-of-the-art” Art Instructors bring a wealth of teaching experience in addition to on-site training by the Museum of Children’s Art. Each weekly theme features a mix of mediums like collage, painting, sculpture, decoupage and recycled art to keep the creativity flowing!
It’s not camp without outdoor fun & run around time! Except, we put an Edmo twist on our daily Recreation games. We weave in themes of confidence, teamwork, problem solving and leadership so that kids are actually learning about themselves while they play. Imagine that! Some of our favorites include: Leap of Courage, Cooperative Stunts, Group Juggling, Capture the Flag, Wet & Wild Relays, and Disco Dancing Stretches…that’s right, we said “disco.” There’s an art and a science to it!
Here teams work together on “campy” things like cheers, banners, lanyards, games, skits and other “choice time” activities. It’s a time to really get to know the other kids in your group, your counselor, and build a team identity. Then it’s time to show the whole camp how you rock the Edmo Vibe at AM and PM rally contests every day! But that’s not all! At least once a week, we also lead kids in SMILE projects that encourage anonymous acts of kindness and recognizing others in their group for doing nice things. Curious about SMILE projects? Learn more here:
Did you “Stump the Camp Director”? Did you earn a “Buddy Card” or a “Plus Card”? Do you know what I’m talking about? You will if you’re at the Afternoon Rally! The whole camp comes together to remember all we did that day, show off our team cheers and recognize our friends for all the awesomeness they showed that day.
Again, you can pull up or walk up, whichever you fancy. Either way we’ll make a point to let you know something special about your child’s day in words and writing. Look out for our daily “Tech Specs” sheet detailing what kids learned at camp, what to look forward to tomorrow, and suggested activities, books, websites, museum exhibitions and more fun ways to keep the curiosity going at home!

If you can’t get out of work early or your kids just can’t get enough Edmo, join us for Extended Care! Campers rotate between outdoor games, indoor crafts and extra science projects. You can rest or work easy knowing your kids are in good hands until you pick them up.
